Our Latest COVID-19 Stance

With the UK moving to Step 4 of the COVID-19 Response – Spring 2021 Roadmap on Monday 19th July, Sport England have confirmed that squash clubs and venues can reintroduce full court squash for adults and juniors with no additional COVID-19 restrictions. However, it has been stressed by the UK Government that the COVID-19 virus is still prevalent, and that all members of society are expected to play their part in keeping one another as safe as possible whilst returning to more typical daily activities. While legal requirements are being removed, employers and organisations will still have a legal duty to manage risks to those affected by their business and are advised to maintain appropriate procedures (such as conducting risk assessments). England Squash has consequently published a set of advice and recommendations for squash clubs/venues and coaches which can be downloaded here and their latest guidelines can be found here. Please note, further updates may be introduced at a later date.

If you decide to participate in our leagues our competitions, you do so at your own risk. However, please be aware that all participation will be subject to the UK Government and England Squash COVID guidelines at the time. Depending upon the severity, failure to comply with guidance may result in a player, team or club being withdrawn from the league or competition. In addition, by entering the leagues and competitions, all participants agree to compete under the terms outlined by the England Squash Back to Squash Competitions guidelines and must follow all policies and practices outlined by the League Organiser, Tournament Organiser or hosting club.

Berkshire Squash reserves the right to suspend or cancel the leagues or close any competition due to repeated non-compliance with the COVID guidelines.

We strongly recommend that all players and spectators take a COVID test prior to visiting a squash club. The NHS is offering free lateral flow tests that can be used at home at your local pharmacy or alternatively you can order them online here.
