For the last five years, a group of squash players from Hampshire have travelled to Odessa in Ukraine, to play in the Black Sea Open Squash Tournament. They have grown to love the country and the people who have always welcomed them with great hospitality and kindness.
Over the last week, the situation in Ukraine has become increasingly desperate and the hardship facing them is heart breaking to watch. The members at Bounty want to help in the best way they know how, taking to the squash court in an all day event hosted at Bounty Squash and Racketball Club, Basingstoke, RG21 3DR. The event will be taking place from 12 noon until 8.00pm on Saturday 12th March (with juniors kick-starting the day from 9.00am). It is being played on the three squash courts and you can join in and play for a donation or simply come along to support. The bar will be open all day and food from the clubs Greek restaurant, which is delicious, will also be available to buy all day.
Please help Bounty to raise funds for our Ukrainian friends via the work of the British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal which will provide food, water, shelter, clothes and medicine. You can donate by following the Just Giving link. Contributions towards the raffle would also be greatly appreciated, and can be arranged by emailing the Bounty team.
